People need power to be successful. Do you think the author would agree with this statement.
Answer: We do not agree that you need power to be successful. For example when Percy was fighting the Minotaur, Percy did not have any power (riptide).Another example: Percy was fighting Mrs. Dodds and at that time did not know that he had any powers.

We don't think you need to have power to be successful. Power does not always lead to being successful. Sometimes people who don't have power succeed more than those who have all the power.

I think power can come in many forms. It doesn't have to be physical power it could be brain power or in Percy's case a mix of all three. Power most often comes from within. If you are good and kind of heart, your power will come from that place. If you are vile or evil of heart, your power will reflect this too. I also like to think that the pure and kind power is stronger than anything that could arise from hate or malice.

I like your comments on power. Do you think Percy has used the power he has gained in a responsible manner?
